you must not be watching him play lately. So many bad decisions.
He was named Captain, so he must be doing something right.

Unfortunately he fractured his wrist vs the Swedes and is now out 6 to 8 weeks. Heartbreaker

Yes damn them for picking the kids who are better

I wonder if they will use the buzzer for shift changes

PS they split them to get see more kids...winning is lower on the priority list
Just because a kid was selected in the 1st round does not mean they are better. There are plenty of kids, in the OHL draft anyways, that were drafted outside the 1st round that are proving to be better than the kids drafted in the 1st round.

1st round, pick 4 - TH has just 2 pts in 11 gp,
1st round, pick 5 - EC has just 2 pts in 8 gp
1st round, pick 6 - OG has 0 pts in 11 gp

whereas,

2nd round, pick 33 - JC has 4 pts in 10 gp
2nd round, pick 41 - TL has 5 pts in 10 gp

The 3rd overall pick has only played in 1 OHL game, yet he has still been selected.

At this stage kids should be getting selected for these teams based on their current merits, not past performances.
1st rounders will always get the benefit of the doubt. They will get the opportunities right now. Picks 4,5,6 were drafted much higher then they should have been. all 3 of them will be 5 year OHL players and then work a real job.
Most are players that their team can continue without. Like when NHL teams allow players to play World Jr. This Chi will allow Bedard to play this year???

Using your thought process right now Dylan Larkin is better than Matthews, McKinnon and McDavid
and using your thought process, Kucherov should never make his National Team because he wasn't a 1st round draft pick.

So make a decision based on 10 games vs kids OLDER than them rather than vs their peer group?
