Jack of all trades, but master of none I guess works for some. Why bother skating if you’re in competitive soccer? Is he training in the bubble during the hockey season for soccer? Just saying it doesn’t make much sense and may only be hindering your kid in both sports
Who says master of none? Kids this age can be good at multiple sports… also, if you only do the same sport over and over you are more prone to repetitive motion injuries… using their muscles in different ways helps with their growth. Aside from that, the kid wants to play multiple sports and has developed good time management for his age… rather him do that then mindlessly scroll on his phone or play X Box… but whatever, we obviously have different parents skills.

Even if my kid focused on one sport he’s not going professional, so letting him have a summer of fun with his friends.

Think the post before yours was simply to say why throw in 2 skates during soccer season? Just focus on soccer during soccer season. As you said, probably not going pro so why overschrfule the kid? Let him be a kid and play outside with sticks and stuff!

Balancing 2 sports and being competitive at both is extremely hard. Totally agree kids need other stuff but maybe a house league sport or rec level ?

Ah, got it….

Yes, balancing the two sports is tough, but it’s what he wants… I would have preferred HL for soccer but he asked to try out… similar to the ice time, he asked to do it to hang with the friends… both teams have different kids he hangs out with, but not much cross over… so exercise and two different friends groups…

Kids should always play more than 1 sport. Soccer is a great one for keeping it HL and having fun with buddies.

I heard this weekend that CRC has picked up some GTHL stud goalie that's going to make them champions. I thought they picked up the midget from the Sens? Did they get a real goalie or the pylon?

RS got well paid to take that garbage. He realizes this team has peaked and is cashing in for retirement. At least 3 kids paid for positions on the team this year. Just another scumbag coach.

If it’s the little one he must be the backup. If his dad wasn’t paying for half the Sens team he would be playing A or house league. CRC had good goaltending why make such a bad move?

Which 3 kids? I am not from CRC but they have a pretty good structure to the game which probably helps hides those 3 kids
