Re: 2013 A - MHL/GTHL

Are these MHL teams still going to play in the GTHL west A division next year? MHL said they are going to play in a new loop with OMHA teams like Oakville, Milton. Re: 2018 Learn to Play to AAA

The CDS/CDP schedules are posted online for everyone to see.... CDS and CDP are playing each other all the time at U7. Looks like the exhibition games are with OMHA centres like Markham Waxers, Oakville, etc. I'm honestly confused--what am I missing here? The best of the teams (ranked Tier 1 or in ...

Re: 2018 Learn to Play to AAA

CDS/CDP is the best experience for ice time and development of a young skater. Anyone who tells you otherwise has a vested interest in you going somewhere else for high fees and poor development. Agreed with CDS and add in some power skating lessons or camps and that’s a good foundation for develop...

Re: 2018 Learn to Play to AAA

Wondering if there is a point to registering for a house league next year (the sat/sun morning times are just awful) Awful for the kids or awful because you don't want to get up that early? My opinion - weekend mornings are great once you get into the rhythm, leaves the rest of the day open still a...

Re: Advice for New Hockey Parent

I would start with House League and see how it goes. The modified ice at that age is great (in my opinion) for all the extra puck touches it provides to all kids. The research is there to show that this is beneficial to kids overall, it's pretty well fully adopted - except for the new KHL. Everyone ...

Re: Spring Hockey Tryouts U7 / U8 / U9

Anyone hear back from Bulldogs yet? They contacted me directly, asking if my son was interested in accepting a spot. We declined. Deciding not to do Spring hockey this year. I got an email yesterday, looked like I was BCC'd asking if we would accept a spot. We did. As a parent in this group with an...
