Shooting Coach
Re: Shooting Coach
Do a few sessions at Score, next to Chesswood. Doing a 4-5 sessions gives your kid corrections and techniques to work on that they can then work on at home. Highly successful for my kid, 30 min sessions one on one. High number of reps and not a ton of cash since after 5 he was good to go and do it on his own.
Re: Shooting Coach
I thought this was going to be a thread about how to get revenge for your kid getting cut due to "politics"

Re: Shooting Coach
In what world is Lucas Miller good? The man runs the same 10 drills OVER and OVER and people dish out the dough. Anybody skating with him has no clue about hockey!
AS for the original post about shooting, a bucket of pucks, a net and a shooting pad, its nearly free and the time they spend shooting will outweigh any money spent listening to a guy talk mechanics
Re: Shooting Coach
Not many people will give our their secrets. There are only a handful of top tier Skills coaches. Any coach who advertises skates with big age ranges Ie 2010-2014 AAA/AA Elite Shooting session, is generally not good quality. The best coaches generally train the top kids, so if you want that information, ask the superstar dad where they train…Guest wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 9:07 amIn what world is Lucas Miller good? Respectfully going to disagree with the concept.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Mar 31, 2024 8:46 amReps on reps
Practicing a bad shot over and over again creates a permanently bad shot.
If the mechanics are wrong get a coach to fix them... then do reps on reps.
So not fully disagreeing, just pointing out that if you suck, practicing sucking doesn't make you suck less
