So called "hockey experts"
So called "hockey experts"
Beware of those trying to give you advice on your child's hockey career. Especially those of you with young children. Do not get fooled into paying "consultants" or "advisors". Trust your instincts and people you know.
Re: So called "hockey experts"
Great advice. Would you include Associations 'Board' members as ones to trust?

Re: So called "hockey experts"
I trust only one guy. My kid’s trainer. Everyone else that does not go on the ice with him, add’s 0 value. You do not need a little goblin in the stands talking your kid up. If he is a good player he will get opportunities. If you are an asking families for money as “advisors” you are a scum. Simple as that.

No, board members look out for the best interests of the organization. Stick to friends and family who have kids a few years older who have experienced what you are about to experience.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 11:45 am Great advice. Couldn’t agree more. I’ve been through it twice. Trust your instincts. 90% don’t need an advisor or agent. Just work hard and show the intangibles. Keep your grades up and do your work in the off season.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 1:48 pmNo, board members look out for the best interests of the organization. Re: So called "hockey experts"
I disagree, trust the board members. They have the vision for the organization and development you will receive for your son or daughter. Coaches have alternative motives.

Re: So called "hockey experts"
It's more important now than ever before to pay an expert to help you navigate this mess we call "organized" hockey. You need to step up from Novice. Minor Novice is even better. Don't get left behind!
