2010 GTHL AA West
Re: 2010 GTHL AA West
You idiots keep posting rankings. Just wait a few weeks and see the on ice product and let the chips fall as the may. If we are lucky, in January there is 2 tiers and we can consistently have decent hockey.
Thank you.
Thank you.

They will not tier this amount of teams.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 11:13 pm You idiots keep posting rankings. Just wait a few weeks and see the on ice product and let the chips fall as the may. If we are lucky, in January there is 2 tiers and we can consistently have decent hockey.

And as another said, no tiering. It's not about "luck", divisions are only tiered if they have 15 or more teams.
Re: 2010 GTHL AA West
The teams that will end up in top 5 are the ones who can balance an utilize each line. There is only 2 teams in spring development which I seen has been working through that and almost there. Rattlers and Wolverines. Every line rolls better than the last and forces a constant pressure. The rest are utilizing 1-2 players to carry the team and will not survive at this age/level. Passing and puck movement is key. Speed causes turnovers if you cant control the puck. Take the playbook from the Rangers if you want to have a fair chance this year. Its all puck movement and control. No speed, and the defense controls most of the playGuest wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 11:24 pmIt’s gonna be rangers and eagles west final - beast rats and NS wil be in the mix.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 11:03 pmThey have always been at the top but I’m not so sure this season . Carnavale team had some aaa kids so you can’t gauge that to the reg season . We will soon see . I’m sure they will still be a good team . Top 3 is doubtful. There have been so many changes the Only constant will be rangers .Guest wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 10:36 pmGuest wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 6:08 pmRangers off ice twice a week plus a few in CarnavaleGuest wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 2:56 pm What are the real teams doing this summer?
(Rangers, Eagles and Beast).
Eagles nothing since June .
Beast Carnavale and extras
MNS training 3 times a week plus games and off ice for sure
Terriers Carnavale . Realizing they still don’t pass to each other !
Im sure some are training on the side throughout the summer . Training camps around the corner . Obviously this is grapevine chat , so grain of salt
NS definitely deserved to be put in top 3. They picked up some decent pieces to fill the voids of kids who moved up to AAA. The little F from Burlington is good and they had a solid showing at Carnevale.

I think the team that has the bulk of the best players wins. This seems to be about 80-90% of the success formula. Most of the best players flock to a small handful of teams. The coaches will take credit for this but that's not how I see it. Some teams will do well and it makes no difference who the coach is. Other teams will do poorly despite having good coaching as they just don't have the quality of players. A slightly weaker team can overcome a slightly better team with good coaching but you can only do so much. Translation: the top couple teams will be winning a lot and there is nothing you can do to stop it. The bottom few will be losing a lot. For these teams at the extreme ends of the spectrum, their fate is set based on the players they attracted.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 10:13 amThe teams that will end up in top 5 are the ones who can balance an utilize each line. Then you got teams with good players and poor coaching which can go eighter way. There is always a few of those each season also. Look at the the Rattlers, Caps and Beast last season. Decent players but lacked decent coachingGuest wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 10:50 amI think the team that has the bulk of the best players wins. This seems to be about 80-90% of the success formula.
