I have not seen you in Belfor arena where real top kids played.
You know it would be awesome if we had “ real” parents that were former professional athletes that could tell you how the whole development thing works! B/c if you haven’t done , well you just don’t know what you don’t know. Watch and learn rookie!
Too bad all the former pros who coach AAA hockey are nutters driven by ego who have zero understanding of how to lead and develop children. It’s not about the kids it’s about them and continuing their name…. common theme of self obsessed AAA coaches and parents alike.
Who’s a former pro that coaches aaa at this age group?
Rebels
Tm
Jrc
Reps
OR
YSE - Gardner coached 2011's until last year, has 2013s now.. 20 years Swiss League. 2014 Olympian (Soshi). Multiple Worlds. Lead on ice instructor for Gary Roberts Group
Markham - Grabovksi
Halton - Dave Broll (5 games with Leafs) lots of AHL experience
Oakville - Patrick O'Sullivan
Little Caesars - Osgoode

Mid FFLD - Sean Haggerty

The above coaches all had success in their pro careers and now are passing it forward to the minor hockey teams they coach. I want to thank all of them for their contributions to minor hockey.
Maybe some of them have insight into their journey to their pro careers and can provide a little direction for the the vast majority of us who have not been pro hockey players.

How many of these coaches coach so their kid has a spot on the team?

How many of these coaches are good coaches? Knowledge doesn’t always translate if the skills are lacking or the incentive is not to develop kids but to prove something to yourself or to those watching the minor hockey world.

Comfortable win. Nats had a 6 on 3 at the end that could have made the last minute interesting.
