2016 AAA

Someone here mentioned the Aces had improved in the net but the game I saw it looked like the little guy from last year whos on Instagram. They looked to be outshooting the Wings considerably and found a way to lose 2-1 again. I could have sworn they had 2 entirely different goalies in January. I wouldn't want to join a team with a goalie situation like this or the lack of scoring ability.

They both got into a f*cking fight with other parents you moron. One was kicked out of the game already and the other idiot left the bench. They were indefinitely suspended. This could lead to civil or criminal charges. They had no choice. Are you retarded?
Stars are a disaster. Kids are playing hockey and coach wrestling with other parents in the corner. Coaches running around like kids. New coach is a teenager who still plays AA or AAA. Can you imagine what his coaching staff probably looks like a bunch of high school teenagers. No wonder they are running around with backpacks. Probably came straight from school.

The young coach you refer to is not the head coach goof . He has filled in on occasion. The actual coach is a AAA coach who also coaches two of the Stars teams. The coach just had to deal with a team which was already in place and work with developing players based on their strengths. Some can absorb information and develop.

Goalies that are good are hard to find. Not sure which teams have committed to good goalies for next year, but I fear ending up on a team that didn't get one.

There are more teams than there are good goalies between GTHL and OMHA.

Why is DMF having a difficult time locking in players? Someone said they tried to get kids from YK but that discussion did not go so well and their scouting over the past weekend is yet to be seen. A source also mentioned that their team is being built exclusively around tier 2 players and some from MD. We have considered DMF but a very little information being shared so not sure if it’s a good option. Its understandable that there are good players on tier 2 but how will a team compete at AAA without a feeder and built all around lower tier players.

Why would anyone bother trying to get YK kids? lol Wasted efforts. Shows how out of tune the leadership group is for DMF.

Why would it be out of tune.watch kids jump ship. Looks like someone is upset not being part of the DMF management group.

Yeah, I am not going to pretend to know every single kid from MD programs. But, I am fairly familiar with most of the goalies in KSL.

there are roughly 10 that I would say are good or solid goalies.

In no particular order, just going through the Standings from Stoney Creek real quick:

YK - I would assume Whitby
Raiders Silver - GTHL
Raiders Black - GTHL
Purple Cobras1 - BJC or GTHL?
Saints Gold - Chasing coach to TRW? or YSE?
Miss Stars Gold - GTHL
EOYK E Yellow - Petb?
Relm Wranglers Gold - Kingston
Miss Raiders - GTHL
Saints Black - I would assume YSE? Maybe GTHL?

A good chunk of those are GTHL I would imagine based on the city they play for now, plus rumors.

There are another couple that I would say are serviceable, or won't be playing anywhere near here likely.

Junior Wings (both) - A/P?
Buffalo Empire (one of them, but they aren't going to play in Ontario)
Upper Canada Aces (Ottawa area)

Then there are the ones outside of KSL, but there aren't many...

Good luck out there people!

nope, don't live anywhere near Toronto, and not interested in taking our kid to the G.
Just anyone, who knows anyone in the 2016 world, knows that anyone part of the YK core is sticking together

Of what I saw that game, the Aces had more scoring chances on the shot clock, but not great rebound opportunities or solid snipes. The Aces guy might of not been his game (happens with 8 year olds) but looks like he's top 2 again for Goals Against for the tournament, so who knows. Everyone will have 2 goalies next year-so they can change it up.

Aces lack scoring power compared to other teams in the division-Scored 15 goals in 5 games **2nd last place in Tier 1 Division B for GF (last was Toronto Stars Black)
