Not sure any current players leaving will matter. Nobody is a difference maker on that squad. Bunch of average AAA kids. The tyke superstars are actually barely average. Same ol strategy doesn’t work anymore folks!

This would be a mistake. First of all, NRPs are not allowed at almost every AA centre. Second, if the kid is not good enough for tier 1 AA in London, no chance they'd make a AAA team. Parents have to face reality. Either train more and get better, or accept that your son is not that good.

where do they think they are going? There is no where to go for AA/A. Go play mustangs then, who will be worse than the tier 2 AA team? I don't get it. LJK should just reclassify a team as A... 1 AAA 1 AA 1 A. Too watered down in London.

where do they think they are going? There is no where to go for AA/A. Go play mustangs then, who will be worse than the tier 2 AA team? I don't get it. LJK should just reclassify a team as A... 1 AAA 1 AA 1 A. Too watered down in London.

If they do that then what happens to Stangs players? Are they A? BB? HL?

Are they? Wasn't sure on that 100%, heard that rumour though. As they should, and cut it down to one team. Rest go play BB/MD Alliance loop.

i don't disagree BUT that's a lot of lost $$$ for LJK. That's really what it's all about. The model isn't bad, the problem is it's a development model. BUT it's usually the same pigeon holed players in AAA, little movement up. So the model isn't effective because you don't have the development part figured out.

Define development model...what does that look like?

Simple, you should be able to help provide the opportunity for kids and ultimately the teams to increasingly get better, if that's what they want. Good coaching and a good system should bring out the best in players skill development, love and understanding of the game. If it's a true development model you increasingly develop kids skills to play at their next level. Whether they do or want to is another story, but you're going to assume kids playing AAA or AA are there because they want to increasingly get better. Isn't that better than we'll jam as many kids into the program that are skilled enough to fill up teams and we'll status quo many of them at the same level because they've been here before? In Canada we do truly focus on too many games vs development, because development is boring. US Hockey is figuring it out...go have a look.

Very few organizations are built on a foundation of real development. It all starts from the top. Sadly this is how it works, and many kids get screwed because of a variety of reasons, politics being number one. The only way to counter this injustice is to be one of the best. Even then, it can be an uphill battle. Money has ruined this sport. The American system is far superior in development, coaching, competitiveness, etc.
