OHF Opening borders??
OHF Opening borders??
I'm sure everyone by now has seen the post about the OHF opening borders. Wonder what you all think about it? Personally I think it's about time. Kids should play where they want, not where they are forced. I wonder how tyrant coaches in the OMHA would fare when their players are allowed to play elsewhere instead of being forced to play for teams, they just don't want to play for.

I bet it takes them 3 years to implement though.

They're reviewing it over the next 4 months. Doesn't mean anything is opening, I think we'll see changes and more flexibility but I don't see drastic changes.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 9:51 am I'm sure everyone by now has seen the post about the OHF opening borders. Says they will review over the next 4 months but really, the only way to really see how it works is to trial it for at least 3 years.
Re: OHF Opening borders??
Didn't they have open borders the U14 years a couple of years back? would that not have been the trial?Guest wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 11:09 am Says they will review over the next 4 months but really, the only way to really see how it works is to trial it for at least 3 years.
Re: OHF Opening borders??
There should have never been borders in the first place. It’s ridiculous. Why should an association be able to hold players hostage.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 9:51 am I'm sure everyone by now has seen the post about the OHF opening borders. AMEN!!!!!! It's pathetic really, adults exerting their will on children to prove some sort of Neanderthalic point. They wonder why people go through "address changes" and fake divorces to leave centers and go elsewhere.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 12:15 pmThere should have never been borders in the first place. You should be free to play where you want.
