Let’s think this through :). Many bottom team G players have moved to OMHA b/c of how corrupt G teams are and the wide gap with stacked teams. Those players have been now replaced with OMHA kids dying to play in the G, so really just a role reversal of GTHL / OMHA players. When OMHA play “real” G teams there will be a struggle my friend.
This. Also one of the reasons this year top AA GTHL would be competitive to bottom AAA GTHL.
Exactly. AAA G players giving up the dream and dropping to AA and AA players moving up (ie: willing to pay the $$$) to AAA for a delusional u16 year. AA and lower AAA now balance each other out
Really games start tomorrow afternoon when the real talent arrives to the rink.

I feel really bad for those delusional AA parents that have scrambled for a spot in AAA this season because it’s draft year, throwing money at coaches and trainers and let’s be honest, It’s not gonna get them anywhere.

I actually disagree. Some of them have money. They will get drafted after 5th round. Book it

The key here is to put your kid in the best possible position to get drafted .. yes, this is the loop to make it happen. Ultimately it is up to him to make it happen. Even if he doesn't get drafted, Div 1 is a nice fallback option.

Delusion. Div 1 is not a fall back for kids that are not top kids but good luck. Div 1 is a growing and preferred option for a lot of top kids

If you think Div 1 Isn’t that competitive and you can just waltz into that if nothing happens on your draft year, then you’re just as delusional as those AA parents that are trying to move up right now.

Getting draft late rounds is maybe good for some bragging rights to say you got drafted, but not much more than that. Only like 25% of the AAA players will actually get drafted in the priority selection, and those will majority come from just a handful of teams. And even most of those who get drafted will not be sticking with there OHL team. The PS draft at 15 years old is not the be-all-end-all for your kids hockey dream. Even bottom AAA teams, which are more like glorified AA teams with the extra letter, the kids on those teams won't go anywhere from this draft, but there are still a lot of really talented players there and all of them still have potential as they mature and develop further.
