The coach has issues and was run out of Clarington years ago. He should have never been allowed to coach again. Whitby dropped the ball selecting this guy. Just wait til the losing starts! My kid played for him in Clarington. What a nightmare.

AA and A both made OMHAs last year, while AAA was a bottom feeder. AA and A players stayed while true AAA players went elsewhere. Will be the same this year. Why would any legitimate top end AAA player want to play for WW and end their minor hockey career with an abysmal season.
I think it had a lot of potential and still does. The coach did a great job trying to recruit some very good players but lost a bunch that would have played had they not been scooped up by OJHL or GOJHL teams. I think he will do a good job. Good luck to the group.
who did he recruit? players from what teams? has he filled all the spots and given out all the commitments already?

Verbal commitment given to some kids but based on the skates there isn’t a lot of talent to choose from. Maybe more will show up for tryouts.

Will need to find kids desperate to have an extra A on their sweater that get cut from other orgs. What kind of year will that make?

Was never allowed to coach a team before CT is desperate!!! took a team away from a very skilled coach. He coached his older son years ago in CT

This age group epitomizes how badly WW is run. Chased away all AAA 06s and didn't develop any from the lower levels.
Only 1 WW 06 is even considering playing AAA here (a few are skating still but will go elsewhere) and he isn't even AAA caliber.
Solution, bring in a coach with ties to Ajax and hope he brings in a lot of imports.
Younger families see this trend and want to leave resulting in a hole that WW will struggle to get out of for the foreseeable future.

Ain’t that the truth! I see it in some of the younger age groups for sure. Just browse some of the other ETA topics in other age groups and you’ll see how often WW is mentioned in a negative light. There needs to be a coaching overhaul otherwise you’ll continue to see WW at the bottom of the pack.

Maybe try to build a development plan and have coaches actually trained to implement these plans. There is no consistency from one coach to the next, let alone from one daddy to coach to the next. The org needs to build out a plan for the coaches to generally follow to achieve progressive development throughout the entire organization.
