The org needs to build out a plan for the coaches to generally follow to achieve progressive development throughout the entire organization.
Not the coaches fault. Blame the executive for hiring them.

You have non hockey guys running aaa, you have a skills coach coaching his own son while profiting off other teams. The GM hates giving releases but released her son to the G years back. Blow up the organization, merge with APR or OG

Somebody gets it! The smartest post i have seen in a while.

The problem is that o ody understand this and/or doesn't want to put in the work or be accountable. They ALL think they know better.

IMHO ot's rhe biggest problem in minor hockey not just here but pretty much everywhere.

COW will be the top team of OMG, WW and CT. That’s saying something

Won’t be much competition in ETA this year. Sad, last season it was the top division in U 18 in province

Could have been good again but not enough top 07 kids coming back for u18 to replace the 05 kids leaving. Some of it can be blamed on the open boarders for the 06 and 07 kids, some can be blamed on the lack of overall depth of the 06 age group and you could look at the fact many kids are moving away to chase the dream instead of chasing it on a team that isn’t one of the top couple.

Ajax looks to be tops.
MM should compete
PP could be a bit of a dark horse depending on who the OHL team sends down and how many of their 07’s stay put.

Time will tell.

Outside of their goalie, it was all late round draft picks. In my experience, a 10th rounder + is no different than a free agent.

You also need a good coach…

Well, 13 were drafted

3 were from Ottawa and all playing jr (CCHL or GOJHL.)

7 more are playing OHL/ OJHL / GOJHL.

That leaves the goalie and 2 others. So not many from the PP 07 team are around to play u18. How many will follow the coach from COW 07 to PP has yet to be seen. Still, the team should be pretty good with what the OHL Petes send them.
