Every combine is a $$ grab. If a team is interested in your kid they don't make them go to these things, they sign them.

Going to one combine vs attending a spring tournament is a good trade off. It does give your kid the ability to be seen. it would open a lot more doors than sitting and waiting for your kid to be seen. I know of only a few teams that travel north from the USHL to scout.
