2 Orgs 1 team - in some age groups it might work but some it won’t.

New OHF open border rules and already coaches breaking protocol. Coaches already telling people they have the team and tampering with other teams players. This is going to be a mess!!

Best thing to happen for Hamilton hockey is open borders. Hamilton will need to bring top coaches and overhaul their stale development guys if they want to keep / attract players. The lower income families on the Steel will no longer be tied to Hamilton because they can't afford the "address change BS". It's a win for everyone, especially the players. This will push other mediocre teams in the OMHA to get their houses in order otherwise the top talent will head to the G. Say goodbye to these centers having a say in where our children play.

WC and AF from the U12’s have already called every team in the G with nobody interested 😩
Just be happy to have a spot in the Steel dads, and that goes for that whole team.

Will be very curious to see if Steel actually step it up now. We pay more than some other local AAA teams for a very half assed product. Oh we get a development skate once a month what a rip-off.

Hamilton isn't that bad re. development. There are some pretty good players on the Steel (LA, TM, LD, CK) plus some elite players from Hamilton in the G (RE, PJ). Lots of other kids that are solid on the Steel and in the G. Overall Hamilton is a B- in the 2013 age group. Can Hamilton keep what they have and bring an RE back will depend on what they do with their coaching situation. Hamilton better build it if they want the kids to come otherwise the G wins.

Look at the way you talk about and treat kids on here. These are kids that play on your own team. Anyone looking around is not coming to this place with these toxic parents… the ones in the g are very happy they got their kid away from steel.

fyi to everyone part of the STEEL organization the people talking on here are NOT on our team ,they are just looking to stir the pot ! It’s disgruntled parents that left the organization and now see success that they aren’t part of . BE is one them along with PS they were cut from the org and are now trying to weasel there way back and disturb what is a pretty good 6TH ranked team with great families, great kids, phenomenal culture and a great coaching staff. It’s hillarious how they try to downplay a team that is ranked that high .

We are a family that will not be broken but good try , that’s too bad a STEEL uniform will never be part of your child’s wardrobe ! YOU CAN BLAME YOUR TOXICITY for shortchanging your child a fun minor hockey league career.

We are all proud to be part of this org and this amazing 2013 team . Have a great day

The good news for us is that RE has struggled in the G and may come back to be the best player on the Steel. He’d be an important piece of the future since undersized kids like LA, LD, AF probably won’t make the transition to hitting in U14. We need to start building towards that now.
