Hello, I'm fairly new to the minor hockey circle. Can I move my child to another OMHA center for house league?

Curious why you would come on here and ask and not your association or OMHAGuest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 7:48 am Hello, I'm fairly new to the minor hockey circle. Can I move my child to another OMHA center for house league?
Depends on the houseleague. Some houseleagues want proof of residency and some don’t. Residency rules don’t apply until minor atom when Rep hockey officially starts.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 8:24 am It's a minor hockey form and a minor hockey question. I don't really have time to call them during the day so I figured it would be a matter of expediency and convenience.
bc every OMHA centre will trap you with misinformation
You will learn real quick not to ask real relevant questions on this forum... you will get eaten alive...Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 7:48 am Hello, I'm fairly new to the minor hockey circle. Can I move my child to another OMHA center for house league?
You can move to a different center for house league. Residency rules don't apply to house league. You would just have to notify the current and proposed associations and basically you would stay a member of your current association but be on loan to the proposed association. The reason for the loan is in case you want to do rep in the future they still have your rights due to where you live.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2024 7:48 am Hello, I'm fairly new to the minor hockey circle.
