ARD’s GFA was far and away the highest in U12. Is that possible with only two good players? They had one goalie in U11 and had a very solid season. And aren’t the strongest players from LF, TR, and NYK all leaving?

The rest us anyone's guess. DMM doesn't have ANY AA caliber players and maybe has 1 good line from what I've seen at tryouts.

ARD is only getting weaker, they have 2 strong players and that's it. They also are short a goalie and a D. Check the gthl players wanted page.
Any team could have lost kids to EE. Just because kids went up to that AA team, doesn't mean they were the strongest kids on the team. LF I think lost a few to EE but certainly not their best.

Only partially true… 2 of the 4 AA players are staying on their roster and that’s not their only upgrade.

The kids that went up to AA from TR were their best players at the end of the season. TR have done an excellent job restocking and developing their team

No doubt for TR, but there’s a difference between replacing top players with other strong players… and keeping the entire core of your team while replacing the weakest players with much stronger players. There’s little chance TR, LF, and NYK will leave everyone else in the dust.

Any word on how the 2012 Chesswood tournament is going so far? How do the spring A teams look?

NYK beat VR and DD, as did ARD. The other teams are Select and lost all games to the A level teams. NYK faces ARD tomorrow morning, followed by the playoff rounds.

NYK didn’t play DD. They beat VR 7-3 though. And DD were leading 2-0 vs VR, but lost 4-5. New VR goalies need to work this summer hard.

ARD runs the table for the win. Didn’t see any off it but congrats to them.

Update on the Chesswood GGH spring tournament final day results:

ARD beat NYK 5-2. I believe the NYK team included the 3 players departing for AA. ARD borrowed 1 FH AA forward for the tournament and 1 FH AA defenceman for most of the games. The remaining 14 players will make up most of the U13 roster.

ARD beat DD 6-1 in the semifinals. DD will be much more formidable in U13 than previous seasons.

VR beat NYK 3-2 in the semifinals. VR borrowed 1 MI AA defenceman for the tournament.

ARD beat VR 6-4 in the finals.
