AAA/AA tryouts OMHA
AAA/AA tryouts OMHA
We all know AAA/AA/A tryouts are scheduled during the same time frame , do we think associations will do their best to schedule them on the same days and times? Kids can now tryout for multiple teams at a time but that will be irrelevant if associations do what I’ve been hearing.
Re: AAA/AA tryouts OMHA
I could see some associations having tryouts in the morning and afternoon to avoid this... call me crazy... but I have seen crazier things in minor hockeyGuest wrote: ↑Sat Mar 08, 2025 6:48 pm We all know AAA/AA/A tryouts are scheduled during the same time frame , do we think associations will do their best to schedule them on the same days and times? Re: AAA/AA tryouts OMHA
yes the time frames are always the same, but will they try and schedule the exact times of day to prevent families from trying out for multiple teams?Guest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 5:03 amOMHA has had their dates set. Some neighbouring centers will want to try and pull players from their home centers... so you can bank on some orgs to have morning or afternoons tryouts to avoid this.

Guest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 11:26 amKids can go to multiple skates in a day, unless they’re at the exact same time it won’t matter. Also, don’t organizations want the money from tryouts? Yes teams are made, so they might as well make as much as possible from tryoutsGuest wrote: ↑Tue Mar 18, 2025 11:09 amyes the time frames are always the same, but will they try and schedule the exact times of day to prevent families from trying out for multiple teams?

Re: AAA/AA tryouts OMHA
The better teams won't care about when they schedule tryouts. They know they will attract the best kids.
It's those middle tier teams that have to schedule their tryouts strategically so they can attract the best cuts from the better teams.
The low end teams, who are smart, will schedule their tryouts later in the window so they can attract all of the cuts from above.
