Caledon & Orangeville Joining York Simcoe League
Caledon & Orangeville Joining York Simcoe League
Any truth to the rumour that Caledon & Orangeville are applying to leave the Tri-County League to join the York- Simcoe League?
Re: Caledon & Orangeville Joining York Simcoe League
Jesus...how many teams would that make in the York Simcoe AA loop? They're already adding 3 and I heard Orillia might try to move up to AA as well.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 5:11 pm Any truth to the rumour that Caledon & Orangeville are applying to leave the Tri-County League to join the York- Simcoe League?
Re: Caledon & Orangeville Joining York Simcoe League
The loop will go from 14 associations to 12 with the merger of East Gwillimbury & Georgina and the merger of Bradford & Innisfil.
Adding Caledon & Orangeville would put it back to 14.

Re: Caledon & Orangeville Joining York Simcoe League
There aren't that many AA teams this year. In the U14 age group there's only 7 teams, but with the additions of South Simcoe, Upper York, King, Orillia (maybe), and Caledon and Orangville that would almost double the teams.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 6:27 am The loop will go from 14 associations to 12 with the merger of East Gwillimbury & Georgina and the merger of Bradford & Innisfil.

When I said the loop will go from 12 to 14 with the possible addition of Caledon & Orangeville I was simply speaking about the amount of associations in the YSMHL in total.
Any given age group at any level could have anywhere from 4 to 14 teams.

Tri County is already losing the Niagara and Hamilton orgs next year. It may make sense for Caledon and Orangeville to go that route.

Wait, at what level and which Niagara team? West Niagara or Niagara?
Re: Caledon & Orangeville Joining York Simcoe League
I don't think Tri-County even has a Hamilton team.
