EMC and LJK haven’t been never had a team relevant at the provincial level. They need to merge for that to happen

These are the only facts available. People love to assume and make up stories. If these teams amalgamate it will mean a stronger team and will make teams at lower levels stronger too. It’s good for everyone. They just have to be careful who they give the top team to. The top team in the wrong persons hands would be a problem without boarders

Yes, I think people need to realize that one team in the county means it can become hugely political and costly to get on that team. If you have a coach you don't get along with you are stuck with no options. Sure the team will be more competitive but there are huge downsides also

I actually think the opposite. Politics come in to play when there are too many teams and more spots available for buddy's kids. One team will make the competition for spots way tougher. There will always a spot or two on every team that could be argued but when there's only 17 spots at each age group, merit will win more times than not. Also remember one team likely means more qualified coaches. If your kid is a true AAA level player there are no downsides at all.

The low number of registration for Windsor shows why consolidation or disbanding is required. It is also a telling trend that many hockey associations are hiding from their members.

A number of those Windsor AAA teams are walk-on tryouts. That is a HUGE problem.

They need to join forces - maybe then they will be competitive in their league. It’s really not rocket science.

The way OHF is rolling out open boarders is allowing for way too much speculation and gossip, they should know better.

Keep Kitchener and Waterloo separate but amalgamate Cambridge. Amalgamate Sarnia and Chatham too. Then the league will be strong

This would increase the level of play. It would make AA stronger too. Egos will be hurt but at the end of the day it will be the same crap.
