All I know is if my kid makes one of these AAA teams he better be played. I don’t want him sitting on the bench. I don’t want him skipping a period of play time. I don’t want him serving other people‘s penalties or I will raise hell and you can bank on that!

We just got offered a top 6 fwd spot by TM and VK, I technically shouldn't even being saying this because tryouts are supposed to August/September but they invited us to private bday skates.

But what I am asking is should I just commit to both until we decide? It could also be a good chance to get double the ice time this summer.

Question for everyone - my kid got offered for his prep school team but we are contemplating if we want to do u18 AAA instead. What route has the best chance of getting spotted by scouts for junior? He has the type of shot that will get him noticed. We just want him in the proper circuit that will get eyes on him. Thanks in advance

Not if you are paying. They are interested in your money, not your kid. If he had skill, you wouldn't have to pay. So yeah he's not going to see the ice in the 3rd, and special teams means he serves the 2 minutes for Too Many Players on the ice.

Hey man, my kid’s in the same boat right now. We’re stuck deciding between prep and U18 AAA too. Honestly, he’s the next McDavid, just not sure why AAA hasn’t figured that out yet.
Kid’s a beast on the ice, sniper with a bomb of a shot, throws hits like he’s getting paid for it. I’m starting to think we should just skip the middle stuff and go straight to the NHL draft. Save everyone some time.
