ML did the elbows up when he had the incident with coach and the managerGuest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 4:22 pmSounds like the characteristics of a person that has customized license plates. For him to be banned from games it sounds believableGuest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 4:08 pmLet’s be honest—ML frequently sat at his computer, using the this website as a platform to regularly criticize the coach, the team, and the manager.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 11:48 pmJust remember Matt or Shannon ML didn't hide behind a screen. He said what everybody knew including you and you couldn't take it. So you created some excuse to ban him and tried to bully him and his kid online. We know the truth and you are lucky he isn't airing it. For the record he told me he hopes you guys have a great season and likes your pick ups. seems like a real assholeGuest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 10:04 pmML did you get your little to wear his Toronto Elite gear at tryouts? Isn't it getting small on him? Got you it makes look bigger. Does that look help him look better at playing hockey? TR is in for a surprise.
Has Mr. "Stand-Up Hockey Dad" shared with you how he chose to express what he believed were the sentiments of everyone involved? During an out-of-town tournament, after consuming a significant amount of alcohol, he approached the coach and initiated a conversation that quickly escalated into an alcohol-fueled tirade about the coach’s abilities.
As we all know, ML was a coach many years ago, and he seems to believe that this gives him special insight into what the team needs. His outburst didn’t stop at the coach; it extended to the team manager and, shockingly, to his son’s teammates. He ended up yelling and shouting at 12-year-old boys—behavior that is completely unacceptable under any circumstance.

it's one thing to wear a hockey schools practice jersey, but to wear the whole uniform, helmut, pants, gloves, socks and games jersey for tryout skates is a bit much.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 5:04 pmVery obnoxious wearing that ? Oh absolutely—because nothing screams "development" like forcing parents to drop another $300 so their kid can match perfectly for six loosely reffed games and a pizza party.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 5:31 pmit's one thing to wear a hockey schools practice jersey, but to wear the whole uniform, helmut, pants, gloves, socks and games jersey for tryout skates is a bit much.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 5:04 pmVery obnoxious wearing that ? SYB is going to be worse next year. Too many high maintenance people on the team.
Re: 2012 GTHL EAST AA
Is this comment coming from the SYB cuts....SYB will 2nd or 3rd. SYB D got smaller but more skilled and faster like the game is played now. On the other hand TR got way bigger, but slower and less skilledGuest wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 11:22 amGuest wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 9:33 amOh absolutely—because nothing screams "development" like forcing parents to drop another $300 so their kid can match perfectly for six loosely reffed games and a pizza party.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 5:31 pmit's one thing to wear a hockey schools practice jersey, but to wear the whole uniform, helmut, pants, gloves, socks and games jersey for tryout skates is a bit much.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 5:04 pmVery obnoxious wearing that ? Re: 2012 GTHL EAST AA
SYB added small defenseman, but their forward pickups are some of the smallest players in the league—not just below average, but very undersized. While these kids may have skill, their size will limit their effectiveness on the ice.
SYB has high aspirations if they believe they’ll be a top-3 team. Yes, skilled players of average size can certainly compete, but you don’t see many 5-foot players in the NHL—and this is a similar comparison.

Re: 2012 GTHL EAST AA
I know I'm opening myself up to some thrashing but is there ever any positivity here or is that just simply frowned upon?
145ish kids will be playing AA U14 hockey next season. Some may have an outside chance of moving up to AAA one day, some maybe a bit out of their league, and right in the middle is a large group who are right where they belong.
Hope everyone enjoys their summer and it'll be September before we know it.

Re: 2012 GTHL EAST AA
You are comparing NHL players to 12/13 year old kids? You do understand that the size gap of an adult nhl player will never close. A 12 year old kid is going to grow. There are several “undersized” kids playing and usually they have had to develop a compete level and skill that allows them to make up for their size. Next time you judge an “undersized” kid why don’t you watch how they play? Take a look at their parents and in many cases you will see that the parents are of a size and height that would dictate the kid is going to grow. I would be more concerned with a big kid (of average skill) that is almost the same size as the their parents (especially the 5’6 dads) at age 13. Sorry to break it to you but it’s most likely that kids growth has peaked. Enjoy the size advantage while you can. That gap will close at this age.Guest wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 2:25 pm SYB added small defenseman, but their forward pickups are some of the smallest players in the league—not just below average, but very undersized. This coming from a parent whose kid was cut from SYB. Then got cut from the team that they were going to before before they even signed.Guest wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 2:25 pm SYB added small defenseman, but their forward pickups are some of the smallest players in the league—not just below average, but very undersized.
