2016 AAA
Re: 2016 AAA
lol you guys are a piece of work. Worry about yourself. “O shit we failed” let’s attack the nats on mht so no one talks about us.
Re: 2016 AAA
Stop talking about Nats. Any team start practice? I heard DMF is doing 5 times a week through spring and summer, any others?

Is this true?Guest wrote: ↑Sun May 11, 2025 9:39 pm Stop talking about Nats. Any team start practice? I heard DMF is doing 5 times a week through spring and summer, any others?
Re: 2016 AAA
5x a week in the summer sure does not seem accurate. No coach would do this. That’s a recipe for burnout and will do the team more harm than good. But most teams are running 1 skate through the summer from what I’ve heard from other parents which is more realistic and makes sense. Most kids play other sports in the summer so starting rumours about 5 days a week is nonsense.
All this Nats talk is getting old now. Move on. If Nats are pumping their own tires and refuting within minutes is just shallow. The refutations are immediate which raises some serious questions.

This comment didn't age very well.Guest wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 8:47 pm Spring hockey is fantasy hockey. There is not 1 gthl or omha team that can compete at the elite level. It’s that simple. The AAA level in big box tournaments like this up coming tournament will be made up of really solid teams. Any winter aaa team will still have struggles in the AAA division. We saw it in the hhof, strong winter teams even with add on players can’t compete. Pro hockeys roster this tournament is literally a dream team. There is not a chance that a winter team would even keep a 5 goal gap let alone other strong teams like pacific and Boston. By the way did we say it’s spring hockey. This hockey has no bearing on what teams will look like in that fall.
2-1-1 in the round Robin.
Eliminated in the semi final.
Just saying.
Re: 2016 AAA
The teams in the Shootout tournament were not very strong. Winning a tournament with weak competition is not something to celebrate.

They brought in a few recognizable faces and a great goalie yet they also kept 1 or 2 of the weaker Raiders/Marlies players to come along for the sponsorship ride.

Those US teams are strong pre brick teamsGuest wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 7:26 am The teams in the Shootout tournament were not very strong. Winning a tournament with weak competition is not something to celebrate.
Re: 2016 AAA
There was a lot of great teams, no idea who would say that it had weak competition …just a dumb statement. Good US and West teams, Ontario watered down across a bunch of teams and the PH team had a strong group (4 elite forwards added to the Raiders) and just didnt win…they are 9 year olds.
Re: 2016 AAA
4 of the top 5 kids in this age group didn’t even play the tournament. 2 are on WW and 2 on Kingston. If you had these 4 on a team one of the Ont teams would have done much better. One of these top kids was apparently playing o. YK AAA division for whatever reason. So reality is the Elite teams didn’t have all the real top kids. If Intario wanted a true elite team to compete you probably would not have more than a 12 player roster
