Guest wrote: Mon Jul 24, 2023 6:37 pm Heard that a team of Ontario kids beat Montreal brick champs this weekend with 8 kids that didn’t make a Ontario brick team. Is this true?
If so I guess it shows the depth in Ontario..
No what that means and re-enforces again is that the 2 teams we sent weren't the best?!?!
The best 'paying' kids went!

Still jealous your kid wasn’t good enough?
No, more than half of the Montreal Brick team was missing, including BOTH goalies. Hockey Etcetera subbed in a D3 goalie (the one that got cut after the first tournament) along with about 7 players that are not even close to D1 players. That was FAR from the 2023 Brick team.

I thought that all of the self pity losers had finished whining about the Brick and that Montreal team already?
You’re obviously still crushed that your kid wasn’t chosen for any of these teams but talking nonsense and making up fake scenarios on here doesn’t change that.
These were the best players Ontario had and they kicked Quebec’s ass. Deal with it and get your son ready for his season in aa.
hmmm...my kid was on the Montreal Brick team, and both games vs TBD and PH were good games, as usual.

...but a loss and a shootout win against single letter players (while half of the Brick Team was at home)...for "the best of Ontario" mentioned as "kicked their ass"...basically sums up Toronto hockey. Good luck people, I think you're going to need it.

But you’re so obsessed with Toronto hockey that you read this thread

Sounds like the best Quebec players were there, just not the ones they took from the eastern provinces and a few from their bottom 6. Ontario won a game and then won the shootout. 2 out of 3 sounds like a clear win to me. If you’re mad your kid didn’t get the invite get a better goalie trainer.

Lol…. 2014 here. We watched as we were heading there the following weekend and wanted to see what we were in for. The first 30 minutes of the first game Ontario was all over Quebec. It was 6-3 then there was the goalie swap both ends and by some miracle Quebec got the win by one goal barely. Quebec just rides the coat tails of LT and KF. Does anyone else get ice time?

Guest wrote: Sun Jul 09, 2023 8:13 pm Enjoy the game. The brick is a fantastic tournament. Some kids did well some kids did not. For whatever reason. That’s ok you learn and move on. But they still are top kids in Ontario and will all have bright futures. It’s a phase of there hockey careers. Relax and enjoy the ride.
Everyone on this board should recognize what it took for these kids to make it to this level- brick tournament . Whether they won or lost, these are the top 200 kids.

Bravo to all them , it takes a lot of discipline hard work and skill to be at this level.

Kudos to all the kids on the bulldogs and PH to making it . You made us all proud :) . Keep striving for your dreams

To all the parents , you have done a wonderful job in having your kids chase that dream . If it doesn’t work out in the end just know your kid has attained new life skills in leadership, striving for your goals and most importantly friends that will never be forgotten.

Stop the negative bullshit and look at the positive people.
Safe flight home!
Arguably the best 2 way player from Ontario didn’t even go to the tournament, LH called them 3 weeks before the brick to ask him to attend after turning it down for financial reasons so they take RS… LT would of helped PH. Very defensive minded and hard to play against. I can’t see how anyone would want to pay all that money for a week. Kudos to those who went, but some can’t afford the cost of 3 months mortgage for a tournament. Ontario Brick teams are 2 times the cost of any others. It’s robbery
Agreed a few players were overlooked. And many couldn’t afford or didn’t want to spend the money. Others looked at it and just couldn’t justify the hype.

What team does LT play for? Not ringing a bell.
He has the crazy dad… plays 2012
100% NOT a crazy dad! He's kind of an introvert and doesn't really care about what anyone else thinks about him or his kid. They are such a kind and loving family and he basically tunes out everyone else and he and his son have a really special relationship. He doesn't know much about hockey and he just loves and supports his son like not many others. His thick french accent probably does not help the Toronto people understand him either. This is totally a classic case of "don't judge a book by it's cover". He's a great guy, and the mom is even better!

lmao not true at all, the guy is the craziest parent in the G. The kid played MM 2 years ago then got cut and played Waxers last year and got cut again. Only lasts one year at every team because of their antics. Kid tried out for both brick teams and got cut from both. He’s a decent second line player but nowhere near elite. Anyone who knows the kid or dad will tell you they’re both locker room cancers.
I suppose the dad posted the stupid comment above months after the brick was finished because he still can’t handle that his kid couldn’t make a team and also as a pathetic way to keep his kids name out there when his play is making everyone forget him.
Chew on some Xanax and let it go little guy!

Quick question. My son is a strong 2015 player. Maybe not Brick level but could be by next spring, developing a lot faster than other kids. Is the August ID camp ($200 per day) a huge cash grab or is it worth doing?
