Heron Park & Malvern would suck for games, but completely fine for practices.
If you live in Scarborough and want your kid to practice in Scarborough, then find a Scarborough team.
Personally, I prefer rinks that have bar and TV.

I also pay the going rates for homes in the area where I live, and the tuition for the schools my kids attend. I don’t ask the city to subsidize my kids extracurricular activities and I don’t expect people to volunteer their time so my kids can play play a sport.
Btw - AAA in the O may cost less, but it’s not half. You don’t know what the fck you’re talking about.

Lol. Have had my boys play in both leagues, and there is no question (especially at the older ages) that most of the OMHA AAA programs are half the cost of the GTHL AAA programs. From U-14 and older the average cost to play AAA hockey in the G is $8500-$10K (excluding tournament travel). The average cost in the OMHA at the same age category for comparison purposes, is $4,500 - $6,000. A significant difference in cost.
Re: GTHL TEAM SALES INVESTIGATION
I've had kids play in both leagues too, very recently. OMHA fees 6800 for ~3hr of team ice / week (did not include jersey, bag, apparel etc), GTHL fees 10000 for 4.5-5hrs of team ice/week and included all the jerseys, bag, apparel etc.
Very comparable. No need to BS people anymore about the OMHA being cheaper. It definitely is not if you factor in travel time / 407 / beat up of vehicle.

Not sure what org you are referring to in the O with a $6,800 price tag. Haven't heard or seen any price tag in the O of that magnitude.

Travel time!!! hahahaha. Travel time to Vic Village on a Tuesday is longer then driving from Toronto to Orillia. Re: GTHL TEAM SALES INVESTIGATION
The cost in the OMHA is much cheaper. It will also depend on the team you are talking about.
Quinte, which is generally a top top team at all age groups is one of the cheapest around. Under 3k for AAA hockey. Of course that’s with lots of fundraising.
