I'd say it's very frustrating. Or the fact there are so few A spots available, very good argument to be made some kids would have an easier time finding a spot in AA with a bottom team. That doesn't make any sense. Even before merging with MHL why not move Aeros over at least? NT even. It's hurting the division as the years go on.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 4:14 pmWell ... hearing through the grapevine that there will be changes on the Sharks team, so not so sure of 'domination' there. Eagles as always will keep their team intact ... so with that Eagles will again keep rolling along.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 1:23 pmThe division will look very different next season. That said, the Eagles and Sharks will dominate again, maybe even more so, unless they have big changes, but it doesn't look like that's the case. G should be looking at each age group and level on a case by case basis, 7 teams is too few, especially when you have 14 AA west teams. So broken.
Ya it's unfortunate (but not surprising) that the GTHL can't take it's collective 'head out of its a$$' and realize that there are too many AA teams and not enough single A teams. At least merge some of the teams over from the MHL A division like what has happened in younger age groups.
It must be especially frustrating for the parents and the kids who simply want to stay in A hockey ... with the lack of spots/options available.
2010 A West

Re: 2010 A West
More west clubs should apply for a 2010 A team for the 25/26 season… I’m sure the G would strongly consider due to the lack of competition.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 4:18 pmI'd say it's very frustrating. Re: 2010 A West
Nope. Teams already issued and I know for a fact G turned down a team last year. Again they said no new teams next season either. Maybe 25/26....as kids quit hockey lolGuest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 4:37 pmMore west clubs should apply for a 2010 A team for the 25/26 season… I’m sure the G would strongly consider due to the lack of competition.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 4:18 pmI'd say it's very frustrating. What team applied and was turned down from the G ?
Re: 2010 A West
Kind of hoping Eagles lose kids to AA to make loop more competitive. I heard they may lose a couple.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 1:04 pm Any changes happening to teams

Why would anyone like about that? Maybe the guy doesn't want to share any details.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 11:17 amCrickets…Guest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 4:40 pmNope. It's true that the G hasn't granted any new teams U11 and up I believe, this season and for next, that's not a secret.
