Really tight race for the last spot will be interesting to see who it ends up getting it. Could see it going to a tie breaker game like last year.

MJ have a great opportunity next year to build a super team from scratch. Keep zero players, get a non parent coach, take the 2 or 3 good players on each bottom team that are tired of playing with HL kids and Buda Bing you have a top team. Worst to first just like DD did 2 years ago.

..Are you really going to win recruitment over the top teams targeting the same kids filling 2-3 spots in already good programs?
This loop should go down to 12 teams next year and see the 'A' loop get 2 new teams.

Even the ok players on the bad teams? You think they are lining up to go to MJ? MJ and MT should both be eliminated from the league. Playing MJ is like playing a bad A team. Does absolutely nothing for anyone except maybe boost the kids stats

Parents and I guess players at this age need to do their homework when thinking about teams to play on.
#1 who is the coach. What's his track record to ice a competitive team and actually develop kids to be better.
#2 which players are leaving and more important coming. If you go the tryout and the group on the ice looks bad you know immediately there is a problem.
#3 DO NOT believe it when the coach tells you anything related to ice time, AAA players coming to the team, or anything else you cannot see for yourself. Words are just that.. if the team he coached last year is a bottom team it is VERY unlikely it will improve next year!!!
and the most important detail when looking for a team is to go now to the games and talk to people currently on the team they will obviously have the best info.
