ST ended the tourney this weekend 1-4 and their only win was against a slightly worse team than them?
The post that they've "put together a nice little team with hopes of climbing the ladder" next year is completely laughable
More shots at MNS too make it clear that it's a sour grapes parent who is delusional at best.
4 of the 5 games ST played were against AAA teams give it a rest. You know nothing. They will be in the top group by end of season.
ST has a strong goalie and reinforcements from TW and MNS who have joined them. Top group or nicely positioned in the middle, both will be good outcomes for the group and their coaches who have been with the core for a number of years. They play structured but without being rigid, nice D to D work and breakouts that are both signs of solid coaching. I would be more concerned about the teams that have been thoroughly cleaned out by other teams such as TE and TW. But even then, this is U11 and the focus should be on development leading up into the true competitive rep hockey that will start in 3 years time.
I dont want to rag on kids but their goalie gave up at least 12 to MNS in a spring game.
The little D they got from MNS wasn't all that effective on one of the best teams in the loop last year where many of the other D got exponentially better throughout the year it seemed.
Coaches have been with the core? The coaches have consistently lost the best players on the team from U9 to U10 and again this year from U10 to U11.
The delusions of this poster are wild. ST will be bottom 3 team all year long.
Maybe the goalie had a bad game or more likely he played for a very weak spring team with no solid defence in front of him. That won't be the case during the regular season. And as far as MNS goes, they couldn't beat VR which did about the same as ST in the tournament. So if ST is bottom 3, then your logic should mean that neither VR or MNS are that much better. These are 9-10 year old kids, it is up and down and winning or losing a game here or there isn't what is going to determine the experience.
Played against ST this weekend. Strong at D and G, well coached. Solid mid pack.

1. MB - they don't let standings or results get in their way of deciding they are the best, bougie Lorne Park crowd can't figure out why they're not winning
2. VR - hot headed, hot blooded but not otherwise hot, can't give up their obsession with VP and their wrong choices
3. ST - weirdest coaching staff in the loop assembled similar parents
4. TW - Tiger mom parents who all hate each other
5. HVS - woke Ugg wearers with too much money especially team manager, Rambo dad who wants to fight other parents
6. MNS - cult of coach worship and tight clique of insiders of former Applewoods and a couple of others
7. FT - there is no passion here, these people don't care about hockey, very strange

It's going to be the same as last year: FT and VP will be the best.
MB and MNS could pull off a miracle once, but it won't happen twice.
VR shouldn't even be in this conversation.
It isn't a miracle. MB played stronger opponents before the holiday break and weaker opponents after that. It only takes a few minutes of looking at the schedule to see what happened. Their streak in January and February moved them way up in the standings. This is not meant to be a knock on them, they simply dealt with the schedule the GTHL provided. They are a good team but the coaches are probably over-ambitious in how competitive they are with the loop. They were recruiting for U11 much earlier than everyone else and really looking for strong kids. Compared to other tryouts, theirs had anywhere from 50-100% more kids on the ice. What does that tell you? They very badly want to beat the 3 teams above them after some bad luck in the playoffs. MNS is also not a miracle but an unfortunate example of another over-ambitious coach who would play 5 skaters all game if he could, the only thing stopping him is that they'd all be throwing up and passing out. Shortsighted parents as well, or they would insist on appropriate shift changes and times.
We’ve missed you. How’s your spring been going. Hahaha

Who told you that? ST played one team that was made of mostly AAA players which was spitfires. None of the other teams were made up with AAA players

Several kids on one team they lost to had SYB stickers on their helmets
SYB was second worst in the East last year
Confirmed their last game was to SYB and they lost. SYB does not look great.
Lol that's all you need to know.and since there's been no claims yet of kids missing the weekend, they had their team in tact and lost to a very weak SYB squad. Yikes

Neither the best forward nor the best defenseman on ST has left the team.
ST's best player is still on the team, but it's not my child. This kid has tremendous potential to play hockey at a higher level. He possesses exceptional hockey sense. He excels in both individual plays and team settings. In my view, he doesn't lag behind AAA-level players in physicality, reaction time, puck battles, puck protection, passing, speed, shooting, or teamwork. Of course, he also has a weakness: his skating technique isn't currently at the AAA level.

Who cares. You still went 1-4 and lost to the second worst team in the East.
Why should anyone care about a few wins or losses for a 9- or 10-year-old? What does winning or losing some ordinary games even prove? Otherwise, that parent must have serious issues or be incredibly immature.
