Are you in Barrie? It’s very fluid up here at this pointGuest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 10:40 amAre these verbal commitments? The top teams are pretty much full with the possibility of allowing a single player if they have somehow gone unnoticed over the past year or if someone bails last minute, but that's not likely. The other six or seven teams will have two, three or possibly even four spots during the April tryouts. But right now the rush is on to get commitments before other teams do or be left with the players that no one wanted which is why there are skates happening so frequently right now.

Re: Real 2015 AAA
No, we are in QRD territory. Bigger geographical area but talent pretty much concentrated in Klevr. Just asking, thought nothing was done until kids are signed. That being said, the top 5 kids are locks to make it. Probably 15 kids with a shot at 10 spots. Just a paranoid dad hoping his son is one of the ten, lol!Guest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 11:26 amAre you in Barrie? Can you elaborate on the fluidity of Barrie? Any insight on the ksl kids?
Re: Real 2015 AAA
This is a mostly GTHL site and it’s very different there with open borders for kids or jump teams from year to year. In OMHA nothing is decided until April tryouts … albeit to your point the coach before and after when announced is out watching kids in region and getting an idea on which kids he will want long before the skate ever happens.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 3:05 pmNo, we are in QRD territory. Thanks! He is skating with the right people and has a great attitude. Works hard all the time, listens to his coaches and he improved a lot this year. Fingers crossed!Guest wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 12:27 pmThis is a mostly GTHL site and it’s very different there with open borders for kids or jump teams from year to year. A lot of Klevr kids and the tornadoes. Barrie minor hockey is devoid of any talentGuest wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 1:34 pmGuest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2024 11:26 amAre you in Barrie? Re: Real 2015 AAA
Talent in Barrie for the 2015 and younger would be in KSL. Purple Cobras.
Re: Real 2015 AAA
It seems a lot of parents that didn’t make the jump to KSL are regretting it after watching some of the KSL kids.
Re: Real 2015 AAA
eh, KSL isn't the be all, end all. We are there with our kid.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 9:55 pm It seems a lot of parents that didn’t make the jump to KSL are regretting it after watching some of the KSL kids.
Its good, probably more "consistently better" hockey. But there is still lots and lots of variance from one team to the next. You could be competitive with 2 or 3 teams, but then get obliterated by a team just above that and then blow out a team just below it.
