Guest wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2025 11:08 pm Just watch Team Canada and that should be all the proof to you parents on why you shouldn’t follow the top teams. Put your kid on a team where he’s forced to work, learn how to actually play the game and be challenged day in day out. This team Canada team this year and last year were full of spoiled kids who played on top teams their whole lives. They even showed the 2015 brick team who was stacked of future team Canada players. Only to lose to Latvia and in the quarters. And you watch, all you morons will flock to the top 4 G teams and sure your son will get drafted, but what will he do when he’s challenged at the higher levels, he’ll crumble just like this new age of spoiled Canadian players do. Which coaches in the G have improved their team without stacking it? Which team has no money parents, a happy parent group and coaches who have pushed their team to improve from last year. That’s where your son will most likely flourish. Orrrrr you can just raise another spoiled brat to eventually ruin his career years from now because he has to play for a top G team instead of learning actual lessons.
Is your kid on a bottom team?
Bro you just proved his point lol

You just proved your kid is on a top team. I know that must feel great for you around the water cooler. My kid’s team is in a playoff spot, but we’ll never chase the Sens, MM or JRC dream.
Answer is yes or no. Asking a question doesn’t mean shit.

Wow you need to learn how to read or just buy a phonics book. “My kid’s team is in a playoff spot”. That means not a top team, but a competitive one

Can this be pinned? Or just email this to Hockey Canada. I’ve been saying this for the last few years. It’s in a really bad spot

Here come all the excuses, but the actual fact is, hockey in canada isn't what it used to be. Simple. It's time to wake up and smell the coffee.

I guess team Canada dads couldn’t buy this one.
Canada will continue to get embarrassed at hockey’s highest level until HC gets rid of the bribes and special favours that are rampant in hockey and start refocusing on finding the best of the best.
Pay to play creates nothing but whiny losers.
And yes my kid is on a team that is in the bottom half.

You get it. Which teams in this league don’t have politics, no money parents, no player who takes all the mins no matter how he plays? I bet the list is very small.

Good question...I don't even know to be honest. I think one of the bottom teams might fit this bill. Does that sadly explain why they are bottom?

Let’s go through all the teams and see if any team fits the bill? Would that be a good exercise?
