Just be thankful you are in the GTHL and have options. In the OMHA, you are owned by your centre and stuck no matter how toxic the team, coach or parent group is. If you are in a AA centre, you can’t even get a release to play on the A team, have to play houseleague. We are all hoping for open borders next year, which will add some accountability.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 9:33 pm Hi everyone,
my kid is on a AA GTHL team and they are not doing well and the environment has become so toxic I'd like to pull him off the team and go to another team, we've found a team already, but wasn't even sure if this can be done. Anyone have experience with this? Any chance of getting a partial refund?
On another note, if you pull your kid from every difficult situation then you aren’t teaching them any resilience. I would stick it out, get your kid some extra development and make a move next year. Don’t be a bubble wrapper. Playing on a bad team for a year isn’t going to kill him.
