Hearing there are 2 birthday skates this week one for YSE and WW
Weird when I call around I get the run around on bday skates. Many coaches are afraid of bday skates due to tampering rules. I did not connect with YSE or WW so looks like they are getting ahead of the game
All coaches have someone booking ice and looking after everything as they watch from the stands.

All ways to get around the red tape.

Gotta reach out to the right people to get the answers
coaches are going to other teams playoff games to watch players. They do not have a "guy" rent ice and have the coach hiding in the corner with sunglasses and a mustache scouting kids lol

^^^^^ birthday skate will happen when teams start getting eliminated from playoffs.

Which teams will benefit from open borders?

The winners

QRD’s, WW, PP and YSE

The losers

The rest of the league.

Quinte is a great team but who on earth would choose to travel there to play hockey? GTHL is one thing but Quinte?

QRD has its top players so whoever goes will travel to sit on the bench

YSE - Parent coach NO THANKS Parent group is dysfunctional

PP - New coach thats 100 years old .... do not see that being overly fun for 12yr olds

WW - Parent coach who overplays his kid. Team is run by the Entitled parent group who are extremely clicky STAY AWAY!!!!

What's wrong with the YSE coaching? The new PP new has more experience than any other coach in the league.

Uhhhh ya he’s 100yrs old ….. of course he has the most experience.
PP is going to be worse next year. Top players are leaving south down the 115 …. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

YSE coach is a parent who plays 2 lines and his kid and that’s it. Kid is AA at best…. Parent group desperately nee a non parent.

Who is leaving PP to make them worse?

His kid is a great player. Def not AA material, he is an AAA player, but from watching the game coach would get more from all his forwards if he somewhat equally rolled the lines.. although playoffs is the time to play your big guns. Not sure what he did during the season but when we played them this weekend his kid was definitely overplayed. Benefits of being a parent coach though - it’s usually why they coach.
